What exactly is the Hume Pod?
A home body composition scale. Step on, hold the included handheld sensor bar for a few seconds, and it reads body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, and 42 other readings — verified at 98% clinical-grade accuracy.
Is the BIA sensor technology safe?
Yes. Bioelectrical impedance analysis has been used safely for more than 20 years. The Hume Pod runs a patented frequency tuned for extra precision. If you have a pacemaker, check with your GP before use.
Do I have to use the handheld bar every time?
If you're after the fullest, most accurate reading — segmental analysis of arms and torso included — then yes, every time. A feet-only reading is still perfectly usable and still gives you more detail than a typical smart scale — but the handheld bar is what gets you the full, complete picture.
Can more than one person at home use it?
Yes — each person signs in with their own Hume account for accurate individual tracking. Since it connects over Bluetooth, only one phone can be paired at a time; just open your app and step on to weigh in.

Is Hume Premium worth adding?
Entirely optional, at £8.49/month, and it adds nutrition tracking, personalised coaching, and full weekly health reports. Every core body composition reading is already included with your purchase — no subscription required.
Is checkout secure?
Yes — checkout runs on an encrypted, PCI-compliant system, and we never store your full card number on our servers.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — the Hume Pod can be split into 18 payments of £9.93 at checkout, instead of paying the full amount upfront.
UK Delivery
How quickly will it ship?
Within 1–2 working days of your order. From there, most UK addresses receive it within a further 2–4 working days.
Is delivery free?
Yes, delivery is free on every UK order, with no minimum spend required.
Do you deliver outside mainland UK?
We ship across the UK, including Northern Ireland. Delivery to the Channel Islands or offshore addresses may take a little longer — contact support before ordering if you'd like a specific estimate.

Is there a warranty?
Every unit ships with a 1-year hardware warranty at no extra cost. There's also an optional 10-Year Warranty for £33 at checkout (£50 if added later), covering the shell and every internal sensor, plus on-request recalibration.
What's the maximum weight it supports?
The Hume Pod measures and tracks up to 28 stone (roughly 180 kilograms).

Yes — the Hume Pod syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin and more, so activity and sleep data sit alongside your body composition trends in one place.
Can I export my own data?
Yes, any time, directly from the Hume Health app. It's your data — exporting it is never locked behind anything.
